Independent Magazine + Artist Book Presentation in New York

NOoSHPERE Arts gallery is pleased to host the presentation of two new independent publications: newborn contemporary art magazine Droste Effect and Matilde Soligno’s photography artist book.

Droste Effect magazine was founded in 2013 in Italy, and focuses its research on independent and original artistic practices. The magazine features unpublished, site-specific artworks, expressly thought for the paper format. No. zero was published last Spring, and an online platform for international art news followed shortly after.
For the New York event, Droste Effect magazine invited artist Nico Angiuli to show his video «The Tools’ Dance.»

Matilde Soligno’s limited-edition artist book collects the photographs from her series «Reaching The Distance,» along with a series of texts written by the artist. The book experiments with different papers, and – in consonance with the concept on which the photographic project is based – giving attention to the idea of «presence.»
