The air was magic when we played
Sven Kroner concerns himself with the fundamental challenges of painting in general. His primary focus is not on rendering landscapes – most notably areas that defy human efforts at cultivation – but on ordering shapes and colours, and on creating an arc of tension in the composition.

ALPINE DESIRE
The exhibition dialectically examines the various desires associated with and the abysses hiding behind the cultural-historical subject of the Alps. Incontri, a cura di Paolo Aghemo e Fulvio Bortolozzo, accosta due artisti attivi in due diversi campi, pittura e fotografia. Dalla narrazione di corpi e paesaggi descritti con gesti pittorici e cromatici forti dove la “pietas” sembra essersi smarrita nei toni scuri per lasciare il posto a una visione disincantata e cupa alle “epifanie” di paesaggi indagati anche attraverso il monitor che rimandano ad apparizioni di un mondo virtuale dalle quali lasciarci guidare e stupire.
